PixMob was hand picked by three different NBA teams, the Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, to illuminate the pre-game and halftime entertainment during their 2015 season openers. 60 000 wearables successfully turned three different arenas filled with basketball fans into a human canvas, giving the audience an intensified emotional experience.
Diversified use of Technology Creates Customized, Magical Shows
PixMob LED technology was used to spread pre-game jitters from the bench to the bleachers and to instantly connect each of the teams’ devoted fans to the entire crowd as well as to their favourite players on the court. Specialized lighting effects were also used during the halftime performances of Natasha Bedingfield and B.o.B. to create an amplified immersive experience.
The Kings, the Clippers, and the Cavaliers creative teams used our LED bracelets in different ways to design customized shows. The Kings and the Clippers chose global lighting effects to create mesmerizing unity within the crowd. The entire audience shined in the same colour, bringing to life a brilliant and powerful landscape. The Cavaliers used our grouping feature to divide the audience into various sections that lit up in different colours simultaneously, and created waves and movements in the bleachers. The diversity created a passionate exchange within the crowd.
