We sponsored the historical inauguration of the Professional Women’s Hockey League by activating our signature pro-sports fan experience throughout their season. We wanted to bring the same big league effects and fan-fuelled action as seen at the Super Bowl, the Olympic Games, and the NBA & NHL All-Stars matches, all to make the athletes of the PWHL shine as brightly as their talent.

We were shocked too.
It’s true that the past year has seen a surge in support and exposure for women’s sports, but there is still a very long way to go in leveling the playing field.
Compared to their male counterparts, women's sports teams and events receive much lower funding, sponsorships, media coverage, and fan engagement opportunities. All of this leads to reduced ticket sales and ultimately, lower compensation for female athletes. (So, as you can see we have a problem here.)
We wanted to contribute to filling some of these gaps and invest in women by sponsoring the PWHL to give them the same “big league” experience that we’ve created for major sports teams in the NHL, NBA, Olympics, and beyond.
Our partnership with the PWHL is part of our PixMob Spotlight Series, a program that we created to do our part in changing those statistics. This ongoing sponsorship series is dedicated to illuminating the contributions of women in sports and entertainment by providing in-kind activations of our crowd-immersive LED experiences. This is all in an effort to give these women the level of live production, fan experience, and broadcast they deserve.

What made our partnership even more exceptional was the PWHL’s enormous devotion to their loyal, die-hard fandom, and their commitment to creating impactful fan experiences. By integrating our crowd-immersive LED wristband technology into their live experience, we helped create the continuous fan engagement and enthusiasm that the PWHL strives for in every game.
