PixMob's Sports Fandom Hat Trick

2024 has already been an electrifying year for live sports entertainment.

As we move into an exciting new era in sports fandom, industry leaders, teams, and venues have shown that captivating the audience goes beyond the playing field. Engaging fans during and beyond the live action of the game requires experiences and avenues for participation that resonate long after the final whistle is blown.

The all-stars and MVPs in the world of sports are setting a new standard for fan engagement, and we were very fortunate to have been brought along that journey at 3 major events so far in 2024.

We ignited fans at the Super Bowl, the NHL All Star Game, and NBA All Star Weekend; immersing them in team spirit, gamified spectatorship, and a whole lot of action.

NHL All-Star Game in Toronto

To start off the year, we took our signature fan experience to Toronto for the NHL All-Star Game. We equipped 20,000 roaring fans with our Radio Frequency Waveband wristbands at the iconic Rogers Arena. Partnering with Rogers, we created custom branded wristband straps and seamlessly integrated our easy-to-deploy LED wearables into the fabric of the game, enhancing key moments with synchronized visual effects.

As the game unfolded, the sea of illuminated Wavebands transformed the arena into a mesmerizing display of fan fury and excitement, and gave fans even more reasons to cheer during what was already an electrifying competition.

The Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show in Las Vegas

Next up, we ushered in fan fun at the legendary LVIII Halftime show, using our crowd-igniting technology to fire up fandom at what marked our 5th Super Bowl activation in a row.

In the crowd, 60,000 fans wore our ultra-bright LED badges, painting them in effects synchronized to Usher's thrilling on-field performance. These advanced crowd-lighting effects were made possible by our Moving Head infrared transmitters, which enable waves of signals to wash over the crowd and create a canvas of effects from the wearables.

Half Time performers were ignited with our ultra-bright LED Wristbands & NOVAs, transforming the scene into a vibrant canvas of immersive lighting moments for those tuning in live and at home - to what was officially the most-watched telecast in history!

NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis

Last but certainly not least, we ended our epic sporting event streak at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, transforming Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Field House into a playground of pure fan energy. Using our advanced-immersion X4 Wristbands and semi-permanent NOVAs, we captivated over 70,000 fans across three nights of thrilling basketball action.

Our top highlight? The fan-favorite light tag played between the all-star crowd and Boomer, the Pacers mascot, who wielded our interactive wand lighting controller to paint fans in real-time with lighting effects. It was an exciting time for basketball fans in game and at home, with engagement and viewership seeing record numbers.
