League of Legends World Finals
Underdogs shine at League of Legends Worlds 2022
San Francisco, US
With electrifying performances by Lil Nas X, Jackson Wang, Louis Leibfried, and Edda Hayes, the opening ceremonies ignited the League of Legends fanbase at a fever pitch. PixMob proudly introduced their new Radio Frequency-controlled Waveband wristbands to the attendees, demonstrating a versatile array of unified, grouped, or randomized visual effects to a global audience of over 5.1 million viewers through platforms like Twitch and YouTube.
In the world of sports, fervent fans often interact with each other and mascots to enhance their sense of involvement. Similarly, our wavebands engaged the fans by synchronizing with gameplay - turning red for T1 and blue for DRX when teams scored or secured advantages. The bracelets also emitted a twinkling, starry-night-like effect in sporadic intervals, effectively drawing the audience into the event and creating a shared sense of immersion.
Following an intense five-round showdown, the ultimate victor emerged, with DRX triumphing in the final battle to secure the championship title and the redesigned Summoner's Cup from Tiffany & Co. Although T1 initially seemed poised for victory, DRX's unwavering strength clinched the underdog team's win, turning the arena into a radiant sea of blue as they celebrated their hard-fought triumph.
