The “You Had To Be There” Moment
Entertainment leaders are integrating tech that makes every live event “never-before-seen”
Live entertainment is innovating at the speed of light. With the biggest tours and global events continuously outdoing the last – fans, artists, and game presenters are all searching for that never-ending element of surprise. Entertainment leaders are turning to technology to give fans the forever-custom live experiences that are now shaping the industry.
No Two Live Experiences Should Ever Be the Same
But, how do you keep giving fans things they’ll experience as “new”? Add more fireworks? Parachute performers from the sky? Couldn’t hurt. BUT – what if you could make your live experience different from any event there’s ever been?
What if you could create a fan experience unique to every show? Every game? – Every goal or guitar riff or unpredictable live moment?
A New Playground for Fan Experience
Three major events have rocked the world’s stage by using immersive technology to create unexpected moments of fan engagement. From the Olympics and Super Bowl to Coldplay’s record-shattering world tour, a new dimension for special effects and fan experience has emerged: the stadium audience itself.

The Human TV Screen
The magic behind these moments? The PixMob Moving Video Transmitter (MVT). Paired with our LED wearables, the MVT projects precision animation effects onto the audience, turning them into an interactive, animated canvas of effects.
“MVT controls the audience’s LED wearables like pixels on a TV screen,” said Jean-Olivier Dalphond, Partner and Chief Commercial Officer at PixMob. “Each fan becomes an active pixel in a massive, animated visual canvas that transforms the typically dark stadium into an immersive, living light show.”
The MVT pulls fans into the heart of the live experience, seamlessly blending them into the event’s storytelling and artistic direction.

MVT on the World’s Biggest Stages
Co-Innovating with Coldplay
For years we’ve continuously innovated with Coldplay to blend our technology into their shows in ways that make them forever unique. The MVT was invented through this long-term collaboration, and through last year’s MVT integration, Coldplay’s dream to transport their audience into the world of their album was fully realized.
Now hundreds of thousands of fans a night are immersed in completely-custom effects that have come to define Coldplay’s live experience. (“Believe in Love" message flowing across the crowd, hearts beating to the rhythm, flowers blooming in sync to the music.)
“111,000 fans per night in Ahmedabad were the perfect canvas for PixMob to paint their wristband magic. Their MVTs - Moving Video Transmitters - turned the crowd into a giant screen. How? No idea!” Phil Harvey - Coldplay Manager
MVT at the Paris Games
At the 2024 Olympics, the PixMob MVT was integrated to achieve a worlds-first closing ceremony spectacle. As the stadium darkened, all 70,000 attendees suddenly lit up as pieces in a giant immersive screen, where an animated Olympic history played out across the crowd – chariot riders and marathon runners racing across the audience, a bird enveloping the crowd with its wings, the Olympic rings dancing and then moving into formation.
The integration of our MVT technology successfully broke the barrier between the performance and audience, so that no one could say they were “just watching”.
GAME OVER - The Super Bowl LIX Surprise
Our latest MVT activation at Super Bowl LIX took everyone by surprise – when all 75,000 fans unexpectedly ignited to spell out a show-stopping “secret” message at Kendrick Lamar’s now infamous halftime show.

Throughout the game, the lit-up fans revealed messages, animations, and real-time game reaction effects.
The enclosed Caesars Superdome made a perfect pitch-black canvas to mesmerize attendees, and to create a viral-worthy broadcast moment for those watching at home.
Every Show, a World Premiere
“MVT is the type of technology where you could see your favorite band or sports team a hundred times, and you’ll still come out having never seen anything like it.” - Vincent Leclerc, Co-founder and CEO of PixMob
MVT technology doesn’t repeat—it reinvents. By engaging fans themselves in the show design and narrative, the MVT creates a new avenue to deliver truly once in a lifetime experiences that are worth every dollar to see, and see again.
From stadium-wide countdowns to synchronized motion graphics rippling across an audience, the MVT tells a story that can only be experienced in the moment.
Now Taking Projects – Get in Touch
PixMob’s Moving Visual Transmitter (MVT) technology has taken over the biggest stages in the world, transforming live audiences into living, breathing, screens of custom effects. After mind-blowing activations at the Super Bowl, Coldplay’s world tour, and the Olympics, MVT has proven one thing: no two live experiences should ever be the same.
